Marsha Schreier is currently the Cantor at Congregation Beth
Ahm and has been the Musical Director for the past nine years for the spring
musicals at Verona High and HBW Middle Schools in Verona, community theatre in
Bloomfield, Montclair and Clifton, and the 2008 Teens NYC Showcase for ATC Studios in
Clifton, owned and operated by Kathleen Kalleigh and Joel Robertson. Marsha has been the MD for a number of original productions,
such as Bound for Broadway (written and directed by Maren Sugerman); The
Looking Glass (written by Ula Hedwig); and the world premiere of Quillow
(written by Mark Liebert, music by Ben Liebert, who has appeared on Broadway
as Boq in Wicked).
Marsha has also appeared on-stage in community theatre productions of
Joseph, Hello Dolly, Urinetown, Side by Side by Sondheim,as well as a number
of revues. She currently sings with Sh’nei Kolot (Two Voices),quartet Musical Cheers and the Verona
Cedar Grove Chorus and has also participated in a number of interfaith services
throughout Essex County. She has also appeared as guest soloist in many
concerts and programs in New Jersey and was the 3 place finisher
in the 2007 Singin’ New Jersey contest, adult division and sings regularly at
Pianos in Bloomfield, NJ. In recent years, Marsha's claim to fame is the Classic Stalker Medley she wrote for and performed at a Star Trek convention. (See below) Marsha lives in
Verona with her husband David and has two sons who are both presently attending
college.
